New Staff in Big Sky
The Big Sky Institute has two new staff members right here in Big Sky. Together, Twila Moon and Katie Alvin will be providing education activities for all ages and working to make science accessible and fun for the whole community.
Twila Moon, Assistant Director – Big Sky: Twila arrived in Big Sky in March and brings a background in science, wilderness education, and science outreach. Twila studied Earth Sciences, with a BS from Stanford University and an MS from the University of Washington, where she also worked with the Program on Climate Change.
Katie Alvin, Special Projects Coordinator: Katie has lived in Big Sky for more than a decade, earning her BS in Soil Science & Land Resources from Montana State University. Her background includes work in GIS and time as director for the Blue Water Task Force, a local watershed group.
