- Most memorable learning experience: I have noticed that my most memorable learning experiences have occurred predominantly under one of two conditions. The first condition has been interactive, exploratory environment. Museums, field trips, laboratories, computers, experiments, even a colorful photo all stand out in my mind as moments when some particular piece of information cemented itself in the synapses of my memory. The second condition that has consistently created memorable learning experiences has been those moments where my current beliefs and understandings were challenged and I was open to new interpretation. Skilled communicators that have taken the time to explain matters in a clear and concise way, including teachers, scientists, and friends stand out as proving me with the unique opportunity to objectively view my beliefs and misconceptions.
