  • Most memorable learning experience: Deciding to change careers at 40 and going back to school was very memorable in itself. However, working on freshwater sponges with Dr. Addis at Carroll College was the aspect of my schooling that I loved the most. Searching for different species in each new lake was like looking for buried treasure. I was gratified to be able to publish my thesis on freshwater sponges in Montana before leaving Carroll.
