Tickets on Sale Now For Popular BSI Summer Gala
Tickets are now on sale for the Big Sky Institute's 3rd Annual Evening Gala, which will be held on Saturday, August 2 at the BSI site adjacent to Ophir School. The event, which has sold out for the past two years , is fast becoming the can't-miss ticket in summer charitable events in Big Sky.
“You'll want to get your tickets soon,” says Big Sky Institute Special Projects Coordinator Katie Alvin, who is planning this year's Gala in conjunction with event chairs Stacy Ossorio and Loren Bough. “We have limited seating in the venue-it's the only see-through tent of its kind in the state-but it makes a remarkable space for a party."
Alvin credits the popularity of the event to the party-planning prowess of Stacy Ossorio and the lure of a very good cause. “Stacy really gets every little detail-from the flowers and lighting to the food-and this year's theme, “The Call of The Wild,” has been especially inspirational for her.”
The Gala includes a live and silent auction, dinner catering By Word of Mouth, and dancing to the music of this year's band, Big Caboose and The Soul Penetrators. BSI supporter Bruce Cohn is also providing a pre-dinner B.R. Cohn wine and olive oil tasting for attendees.
A full slate of unique outdoor and nature-oriented auction items is still being formulated, but attendees can expect to find one-of-a-kind experiences that money just can't buy. “Loren and Jill and Stacy have been rounding up packages that are unavailable outside of the auction,” says Alvin. “We’ve got a dinosaur dig with legendary paleontologist Jack Horner as your guide. Who doesn’t want that?”
Tickets are $100 per person and can be purchased at the BSI office (next door to the Big Sky Chamber) or by calling Alvin at 993-9355. Ticket sales close July 31 or when sold out.
