Campers get a special magnifying loupe and field journal to observe and record their discoveries. Registration is required.

This is a day of nature and adventure activities for the whole family. Professional naturalists Denise Wade and Leslie Stoltz will provide hands-on activities, fun and interesting science, and a unique look at the plants and animals around Big Sky. This is a fantastic value for a full day of family fun! We will meet at the Big Sky Community Park, but may drive to another location for more exciting adventure.
Time: 10 am - 4 pm
Cost: $20 per person, lunch is provided

Through the Big Sky Hikers, BSI is hosting an informative guided hike: Introduction to Animal Tracking. The hike difficulty is moderate. The hike is limited to 15 participants, so arrive a little early to get a place and organize the carpool to the trailhead.
We will be celebrating the opening of a new space right here in Big Sky! Come on over to for a ceremonial ribbon cutting and raffle. We will also announce the winners of our Narratives of the Greater Yellowstone Ecosystem contest. Come explore the new BSI building!. We are located in West Fork Meadows, next door to the Chamber of Commerce.

Professor Diane Debinski
Diane Debinski is a professor of Ecology, Evolution, and Organismal Biology at Iowa State University. She has done extensive research in the Greater Yellowstone Ecosystem, looking at topics from prairie restoration to species distribution in the mountains. She will talk about "Montane Meadows as Indicators of Climate Change", with ample opportunity for questions and discussion.
